The National Association of Property Buyers (NAPB) was established in 2013 to promote businesses providing outstanding service in the quick-sale property industry. NABP now represents nearly 50 of the most trusted cash buyers in the UK, and its membership continues to grow. The organization helps property sellers determine whether selling to a professional cash buyer is right for them and provides guidance on possible benefits as well as potential disadvantages. Today we meet Jackie Hoffman of Housebuyers4u.

What are the company’s biggest challenges?
The industry has somewhat of a negative image due to rogue traders who unfortunately present themselves as cash buyers providing high offers when in fact, they are brokers and companies offering high to start with and then chipping last minute. Educating the vendors of such practises can be a challenge in an unregulated market, but we always help and support the vendors in whatever way we can to raise awareness of such practises.
What’s the most unusual property you have bought?
Where do we start, had a few over the years from chapels, converted churches and log cabins!
What’s the key to running a successful property business?
Being slick, lean, and efficient is a huge advantage as flexibility is required and a passion to be Customer centric working with integrity ensuring the betterment of the Customer through meeting their objectives.
Where do you see the Professional Property Buyer industry going?
The industry has evolved as more sellers are aware of an alternative to the traditional estate agency approach, and certainly more buyers have entered the market, giving more choices to the seller. Organisations like the NAPB and Property Ombudsman have helped in raising that awareness.
