Who are you, and what’s your background?
I’m Kelvin Elliott, the founder of My Homebuyers and cash sales expert at the Cash House Buyer Guru. I’ve worked in this industry for many years and during that time there isn’t much that I haven’t come across 
when it comes to residential property transactions.
Where is your company based?
We are based within the lovely city of Chester.
Where do you purchase property?
We’ve bought all kinds of properties from all over England and Wales, from Torquay to Tyneside and everywhere in between.

What are the company’s biggest challenges?
Managing clients’ expectations on what a genuine cash offer looks like after they have spoken with companies that have been misleading with their offers. This industry is not the right route for everybody but what is important is that they have factual information from the offset so that they can make an informed decision on how best to proceed with their sale.
What’s the most unusual property you have bought?
A grade 2 listed thatched roofed cottage that had previously been flooded and in need of major refurbishment.
What’s the key to running a successful property business?
To maintain integrity and treat all clients the same as you would treat them if they were family, I believe if you follow this philosophy then everything else will fall into place.
Where do you see the Professional Property Buyer industry going?
My hope is that it becomes more regulated to help stamp out the bad players in the industry.
