Shepherd Ncube of Springbok Properties

The National Association of Property Buyers (NAPB) was set up after a growing number of homeowners came forward with bad experiences involving cash buyers. It was established to bring higher standards and better practices to what had been an unregulated part of the property market. Since then, NAPB members have worked hard to offer a fair, transparent service that helps people sell their homes quickly and move on with confidence.

Today we meet Shepherd Ncube of Springbok Properties

Who are you, and what’s your background?shepherd ncube
My name is Shepherd Ncube, and I’m the founder of Springbok Properties. I started the company in 2012 after seeing how many homeowners struggled with uncertainty and delays in the traditional sales process. My goal was simple — to create a faster, fairer, and more transparent way to sell a home in the UK.

Where is your company based?
Springbok is headquartered in Manchester, with a team that supports sellers across England, Scotland, and Wales. Our operations are national, but we keep a personal, local approach to every sale.

Where do you purchase property?
We operate nationwide across England, Wales, and Scotland, excluding Northern Ireland and the Scottish Borders. We buy all types of residential houses in any condition. We help sellers who are upsizing, downsizing, relocating, dealing with probate, or facing a chain collapse or failed sale, among others.

What are your company’s core values?
Transparency, care, and accountability. We believe every seller deserves clear information and honest communication from day one.

Do you have customer reviews online?
Yes — over 11,700 verified reviews across Trustpilot, Google, and AllAgents. Feedback from the 19,000+ homeowners we’ve helped is what keeps us improving.

What are the company’s biggest challenges?
Educating homeowners that a fast sale doesn’t have to mean a poor price. Ethical property buying is possible — and should be the standard.

What’s the most unusual property you’ve bought?
A fully fire-damaged Windermere property bought and completed within six weeks — despite seller delays — enabling the owner to clear their mortgage and move on.

What’s the key to running a successful property business?
Keep your promises. Stay transparent. And always put the seller first.

Where do you see the industry going?
The sector is maturing — sellers expect professionalism, regulation, and trust. That’s why membership in organisations like the NAPB and TPO matters more than ever.

Thank you Shepherd for your time!
